OUR TROOP'S HISTORY
Our troop was founded in 1925 and is sponsored by the Starkville Rotary Club. Our Troop has enjoyed serving our sponsoring organization by parking cars at the Annual Rotary Rodeo and more. Since the Troop was charted we have had over 275 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle. Our Eagle projects have helped local schools, churches, and charities.

Our most recent summers have taken us National and Regional High Adventure bases, and week-long camps in Mississippi & Alabama. Every year we try to squeeze in caving, biking, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, wilderness survival camping, outdoor cooking competitions, rifle and shotgun shooting events, and orienteering.

Merit badges are awards earned by youth members of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), based on activities within an area of study by completing a list of periodically updated requirements. The purpose of the merit badge program is to allow Scouts to examine subjects to determine if they would like to further pursue them as a career or a vocation.
